Dallas, TEXAS, December 12, 2022 – Railspire, a company that retrofits locomotives for autonomous driving, today announced an agreement with its second customer, a provider of rail-related services with operations in nearly two-dozen states across the country. The customer will integrate Railspire’s technology into locomotives at an automobile assembly plant to support the automation of on-site railcar switching.
“Through several field trials and demonstrations, we have proven that our technology works and delivers real customer value,” said Lester Hightower, co-founder and board chairman of Railspire. “We are now eager to demonstrate game-changing capabilities with customers who have integrated our technology into their operations.”
Less than 30 days ago, Railspire signed a contract with a California-based railroad, the company’s first-ever commercial agreement. Integrations have begun with both customers, and the company will continue to pursue new customer agreements in early 2023.
